What is it like if I get the job?

We want everyone who works at 3Sixty to think that this is the best place they’ve ever worked.

Here’s why!

What is the working culture like?

We are all, without exception, passionate about producing top quality work. Everything we build is as accessible and easy to use as possible. Our code is commented, our HTML semantic and our designers check everything we develop is pixel perfect. We enjoy working collaboratively, both as part of a team of specialists and with external partners and clients. Unusually for a creative agency we are also extremely organised, due to the innate professionalism which all of our staff share in common.

We like to build websites and digital campaigns that are based on solid strategies and human insight, and which make a significant difference to our clients’ businesses. We have had some pretty good results over the years for some high profile clients. The agency is constantly evolving; people stay here for a long time because as well as being a great place to work, as we develop as a business there is the opportunity to grow into new roles if you have the ambition to do so.

What are the office hours?

You can choose to work 8.30am to 5.30pm or 9am to 6pm, with an hour for lunch, and we expect you to take the break! We don’t have an unpaid overtime culture at 3Sixty. That’s not to say that staff never work late to meet deadlines, but it’s the exception rather than the rule. We schedule in realistic amounts of time to get work done and this is worked out in collaboration with a project manager.

What training is provided?

Training is embedded into the fabric of the company. We encourage staff to go on external training courses when appropriate, and we develop by continually learning from each other. For example, we regularly attend industry talks and exhibitions, we have a work-related book club funded by 3Sixty and run by the staff, a very active internal blog and all staff are encouraged to give at least one talk on a specialist area once a year.

Extra-curricular activities

We do a fair bit of socialising together, especially at lunchtime…when there are so many good places to eat around here it would be criminal not to. We also run a ‘Finer things club’ on a monthly basis; previous ones have covered wine, Belgian beers, curry and cakes! The girls especially like to go out for drinks after work and have set up a girls’ night out which runs about once a month, of course the men are welcome too!

Lots of the staff get involved in a number of sports and activities from triathlon, mountain biking and football to dance, yoga, and gym classes. Most staff walk or bike to work and we offer staff the chance to use the Bike to Work scheme and a secure place to keep your bike at the office.

Holidays and fun

If you want to go on holiday to far flung places there is no restriction on how you use your holiday allowance so long as a reasonable amount of notice is given. In addition to the holiday allowance we close the office between Christmas and New Year to ensure staff have a well deserved break and come back refreshed in January.

Do you have days out?

The annual summer 3Sixty day out is one of the highlights of the year. In 2007 we took our lives in our hands at Go Ape, in 2008 we spent the day surfing down at Woolacombe and last year we hiked to the top of Snowdon. We also have a Christmas party, usually during the week before Christmas.

If you apply for a job here we’re more than happy for you to talk to any of our staff to find out straight from the horse’s mouth if everything we say here is really true!
