April sees 3Sixty participating in an exciting event at the Colston Hall in Bristol. 3Sixty are part of a team who have been selected as one of the six finalists in a competition called the ‘Green Capital Digital Challenge‘ (organised by TechSpark as part of Bristol 2015, the year of celebrating Bristol as a European Green capital.) The brief was to develop cool new ways that software can be used to tackle environmental challenges.
3Sixty’s Jon Waring collaborated with other high flying Bristol tech stars and developed the concept of the Crocodile App (http://crocodile.org.uk/). Crocodile is an online platform and smartphone app for schools and parents to facilitate the organisation of walking buses to school.
On April 20th, the six finalists will present their ideas to the International Youth Summit at the Colston Hall, and they will decide the winner (for the winner there is a prize of £50K to launch and develop the software.) We’ll let you know in next month’s newsletter how we got on!
April has also seen the arrival of Fran as 3Sixty’s Marketing Manager. There is so much great stuff going on at 3Sixty, we decided it was time we needed to start shouting about it! Fran joins us after a few years ‘out of the game’ having taken time out of her marketing career to have children. Before having her two boys, Fran led the Account Management team on the Google account at Mason Zimbler, and then joined Mark Mason in setting up App Development company Mubaloo. At Mubaloo she initially worked as the Marketing Manager to help establish the company and the brand, and then moved onto the Account Management side working with clients such as Experian and Axa. Fran will be working part time at 3Sixty and is really excited to be joining such a well respected digital team.
3Sixty’s MD Jon Waring is delighted to be have been chosen as a Non Exec Creative Director for The Creative Network (creativenetwork.co.uk). The Creative Network are a high energy, fast growing and ambitious group of creative agencies. Like Jon, The Creative Network believe in the power of collaboration – bringing together highly skilled individuals to provide the client with a streamlined end-to-end marketing service. Jon is delighted to be joining the board and to be adding his extensive digital know-how to the melting pot of talent.
