First Bristol, then Birmingham and now Leeds Bradford. Our third airport website went live this week; we think that officially makes us airport specialists!

We were commissioned to develop the Leeds Bradford (LBA) website by Tony Hallwood, Commercial and Aviation Development Director at the airport. Tony worked with us when he was at Bristol Airport and witnessed first-hand the transformation of Bristol's website from a cost centre to a profit centre.

With our help Tony was one of the first airport insiders to spot the commercial opportunities offered by digital. As many airports find that in these challenging times that their core revenue streams are struggling to deliver growth, digital channels represent a relatively untapped source of profits.

By selling their own products (e.g. car parking, executive lounge, security fast track) directly via their website and by also monetising their web traffic via revenue from third parties (e.g. flight bookings, car hire and foreign exchange) airports such as LBA can either improve margins compared to other distribution channels, grow volume by competing better with rivals (e.g. off site car parks) and generate totally fresh and new income streams (e.g. affiliate programmes with hotels).

Tony Hallwood commented on the launch of the new LBA website:

3Sixty has delivered a fresh and vibrant new website which will assist LBA in maximizing commercial revenue opportunities offered by digital and online marketing. I would like to thank the entire team for their professional approach from design to delivery.

The launch of our third airport website coincides with the arrival of Mark Scourse at 3Sixty. Mark is joining us from Birmingham Airport and will be spearheading our drive to find more clients in this sector.
