MoneyWeek hands re-design brief to 3Sixty
Our creative team is drooling over our latest commission – the re-design of www.moneyweek.com
Jon Waring, 3Sixty’s creative director, explains why: “Examples of magazines and newspapers with a heritage in design and particularly typography are commonplace. However, many forget to apply the same rigorous principles of good typography, layout, balance and rhythm that we associate with their off line editions to their online versions. MoneyWeek has provided us with the perfect opportunity to design a site from the ground up, applying all our traditional design and typographic training to the medium that we know best – the web.”
The 3Sixty team has already made a start on the project. Test Partners has run a user test of the current site to identify some of the major usability issues and we’re now in the midst of applying the results of the user test report to the new site’s information architecture. Quite a job (the current site has more than 40,000 pages!) The site is being built using the Sitecore content management system (CMS) and is due to go live in the early part of 2008.
