Bristol Airport gets a new homepage and CMS
3Sixty is very excited to announce that we have just launched a new version of the Bristol Airport homepage. We have taken feedback from site users, carried out some very insightful user testing sessions held by our partner agency CX Partners, and applied this to brand new information architecture and design. The homepage has been vastly de-cluttered making marketing messages a lot clearer as well as navigation from the homepage much more user friendly. Customer experience is an extremely important part of Bristol Airport’s commercial offering and they realise that this experience begins as soon as people hit their website.
Other parts of the site have also been redesigned including the New York page and Travel Rewards - the airport’s exclusive special offers scheme only available to members. This only scratches the surface of the work we have been doing for Bristol Airport over the last few months. In the process of redesigning the site we have also been busy upgrading it to the latest version of Sitecore content management system.
bristolairport.co.uk has been on the same CMS for the last four and a half years now and in that time, it has grown to be about three or four times as big as the original site and was starting to get rather out of date. The planning phases for this project began back in January so it has been a good few months of hard work converting over 36,000 lines of code and rebuilding the site entirely in Sitecore 6. Bristol Airport now has a sparkly new website that is much cleaner, easier to use from a consumer perspective and easy to manage from the back end. This work will make the site much quicker, more efficient, reliable and scalable for the future. Let’s just say it is the digital equivalent of repurposing the runway!
You won’t be able to see everything that we have done behind the scenes but if you visit the new site at bristolairport.co.uk, we hope you will notice a few obvious design improvements!
