We’re not jacks of all trades. But we know a lot about travel and finance. That comes from working with clients in those sectors over many years. But why? We put the question to Chris and Jon.
Jon - We're not generalists, there are plenty of them around. We specialise because it helps us be more useful to clients and produce better work. So we now have knowledge and experience of travel and finance, two vital sectors. Our clients, and potential clients, get more value from that approach.
Chris - It started with Bristol Airport in 2005. They said they wanted a content management system – we did that, and a fair bit more. We’ve been working with them ever since, and other clients like Deutsche Bahn, Birmingham Airport and Travelzest.
Jon - The travel industry has been transformed by the web, and digital’s now critical to the business. The finance industry is similar. They’ve both moved to new relationships with customers through easy online transactions and conversations.
Chris - In a way these industries chose us, rather than we chose them. Digital fits with their business operations and strategy. They adopted digital early and they’ve embraced innovation ever since. The work we’re now doing in finance, for example with Cofunds, is part of an industrial transformation.
Jon - You can make a measurable difference too, because the websites are based on transactions. The figures are impressive, the business case is strong. But it’s also central to their branding – branding based on utility. We make it simple and easy for the user. So useful and usable that it’s beautiful.
Chris - So we’ve built up in-depth knowledge of these two sectors. We’re able to do much more than just respond, we can play an active part in what happens next in these industries. They have come through a transformation but there’s still much more to come. We look forward to being part of it.
